Who we are
Add-On Site AI (“we”) provides a Chrome extension and optional hosted backend that let you
remake websites with natural-language prompts and save sticky rules.
If you self-host the backend, that deployment’s operator is the data controller
for server-side data. This policy describes the hosted product at
addonsite.ai.
What the extension does

Runs only after you install it and (for remakes) enable a site and provide an Extension API key.

Sends prompts and limited page context to your configured backend so an AI model can propose
declarative DOM/CSS ops or data widgets.
- Stores rules and account data on that backend.

May send anonymized/product funnel events (e.g. first-win steps) to the backend analytics endpoint.
Data we process (hosted backend)
- Account email and authentication data
- Extension API keys (hashed/stored per product design)

Rules: URL patterns, names, descriptions, action payloads (
dom_ops /
data_widget / etc.)
- Team membership if you use Teams
- Share tokens for time-limited rule links
- AI request content necessary to fulfill a prompt (prompts, selected context)
- Product funnel events (feature usage), not sold to advertisers
Third parties

LLM / AI provider (e.g. OpenRouter or configured vendor) processes prompts to
generate ops
- Email provider for magic links / account mail
- Hosting / database for the Phoenix app
We do not sell your personal information.
Permissions
The extension requests storage, activeTab, scripting, and optional access across URLs so you can
enable sites you choose. Pages are not remade until you opt in.
Children
Not directed at children under 13 (or higher age required in your jurisdiction).
